LUNA Rubber Base

Rubber Base is a transparent, universal base used for leveling nails. This elastic base is ideal for applying a smooth and sturdy layer that allows for the application of various types of coatings or extensions.

• pH Value: The base has a pH of 3–4, making it suitable for most nails.
• Elasticity: Minimizes the chance of shrinkage during wear thanks to its elastic properties.
• Heat Sensation: Can cause a feeling of warmth and burning on damaged or very thin nails (not on healthy nails).
• Use: Can serve as a base for all types of coatings and as an underlayer for extensions on gel tips.
• Consistency: Has a medium consistency and is self-leveling, ensuring a smooth and uniform layer.
• Curing Lamp: Requires a 36–48 W lamp (must be an original lamp).
• Durability: Offers long wear of 3–4 weeks without lifting or peeling.
• Removal: Can be removed by filing or by using liquid.
• Hypoallergenic: This base is suitable for sensitive skin and has a neutral scent.

Application Method:

1. Removal:

• Do not file the nail shape or leave it 2 mm long so that you can remove the excess length after leveling.
• Use a 220-grit file to gently file the nail without applying too much pressure, lifting the scales of the nail plate. You can also use a 100-grit buffer.

1. Manicure:

• Wash your hands with soap after using a remover.
• Degreasing: Use a prep to properly degrease the nail. Do this in two steps:
  1. Wipe the nail surface with a wipe.
  2. Wrap an orangewood stick in a wipe and clean the cuticle and nail grooves with it.

1. Dehydration:

• Apply a Dehydrator.

1. Primer:

• Ultrabond: Apply Ultrabond with a semi-dry brush and wait one minute to allow it to absorb well into the nail plate.

1. Applying Rubber Base:

• Apply Rubber Base LUNA with a flat gel brush. Move the brush tip over the nail to cover all grooves well. Cure in the lamp for 60 seconds.
• Remove the sticky layer after curing.

1. Leveling with Rubber Base:

• Apply Rubber Base to level the nail. Cure in the lamp for 90 seconds.
• After leveling, you can file the nail shape to create a good thickness at the free edge, so the nail remains sturdy.

1. Final Steps:

• Remove the stickiness after filing.
• Apply a thin layer of Gelpolish or Cover Base.
• Finish with a Top Coat and cure for 120 seconds.
• Note: Do not wipe the nails after curing to maintain the shine.
