Kerpro tamponade strip for ingrown nails (10M)

This thin tamponade is used during the treatment of ingrown toenails, an inflamed wound around the toenail, or a wound at the toenail where there is a risk of infection. With the tamponade, you can slightly lift the nail fold and relieve pressure. You do this by rolling up a piece of the fine-mesh gauze bandage (also known as a nail tampon) and placing it between the nail fold and the skin of the wound. This disinfects the wound and the surrounding skin, and it makes the gauze bandage less stiff at the same time, making it easier to place. It is also possible to use liquid disinfectant, but this needs to be dripped more often, as the moisture from the disinfectant evaporates, causing the disinfecting effect to diminish.
